Hi my daughter has widal test result solmo ella yphi o antigen :positive(1:80) dilution solmonella typhi h antigen positive(1:80)dilution solomonella paratyphi AH and BH antigen negagive she is 2 and half years old....is this a serious fe er or norMal

dear,
this is result is indicative for postive result for typhoid fever...but rising titers for antigen are actually dignostic for typhoid and not the single widal result.in ur result the titers are borderline so we can consider them conclusive , but still i will recommend u to go for treatment for typhoid as age of ur daughter is very less and she may be succeptible for possible intestine damage if not treated properly.
a blood culture will be diagnostic for typhoid.
