What Does This Ultrasound Test Result For Uterus Indicate?
i just want to know the meaning of small sized follicles and what damage they cause ?both of my ovaries are showing multiple small sized follicles. A dominant follicle of size 13mm is seen in my right ovary. the rest of my ovaries seem to be normal. ??

This is quite a normal scan.At the beginning of the menstural cycles, few eggs are released in ovary from the stock of female eggs which is present from the birth.These grow to form follices.One of them grow largest which is called graffian follice and travels down the ovary towards the uterus to get fertilized with sperm.But if a sperm does not reach this follicle,it degenerates and the bleeding phase of mensural cycle occurs.
The important in the scan is how many were the follicles and at what day of cycle did you get the scan and what for the symptoms.
Rest in my opinion you don't need to worry if these were follicles not cysts.13 mm is not an abnormal size.
