Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have severe bone pain in my lower back . I do not use opiates I use Gabapentin. I know from my x-rays I have degenerative disc disease in varying stages. I read the report from my x Ray, it said I had a chronic ovoid sclerotic defect of the right iliac . What does that mean? Also when I had had my MRI of my back 5 years ago I was told that I had a benign bone Island on the right side in the ileum. How can they tell that it was benign. And should I be concerned about the other.. especially because I ve had so much pain. I cannot tell if it s from my degenerative disc disease or this but my lower back hurts so bad as well as where my pelvis is.Thank you

What Does This Spinal MRI Test Report Indicate?
Hello, Consult an orthopaedician and get evaluated. There is degenerative bone disease in hip which later leads to severe bone loss and pain. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
