What Does This Semen Analysis Report Indicate?
Dear Doctor, my name is Sajad. basically I am from Pakistan but I have job in Dubai, UAE. I got married since 2 years before. I have no baby yet. I am 29 years old and I went for my seminal test also. My report shows every thing normal instead of one thing. my Active motiles are 20% and sluggish are 45 %. where as it should be between 50-100 % cumulatively my question is that is this percentage is enough to produce a Baby or I should increase the number of active motiles?Thanks

Hi,
Active motility of sperms with 20% as indicated in your semen analysis report is extremely low.
It should be greater than 50% as the sperm needs to travel certain distance to meet ovum in Fallopian tube for fertilization to take place.
You can take medications containing L-carnitine, Alpha lipoic acid, Lecithin, CoQ10, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Selenium and Zinc regularly for 3 months as these elements provide appropriate nutrients for sperm maturity and functioning.
Kindly repeat semen analysis to look for the improvement. If the motility % has increased beyond 50%, then the chances of conceiving would be greater.
