Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, my daughter is 2 yrs old and had blood work done a few days ago. I received the results today and noticed that her MCV levels are a bit out of range at 86.9 and that her Absolute Neutrophils are at 1456. Everything else is within range. What could this possibly be? Thank you for all of your assistance with this matter, it is greatly appreciated. One concerned mommy, Stephanie.
Let me tell you that your MCV levels are within normal range. Your absolute neutrophil count is just below the normal range of 1500 and it means that you are a little bit more prone to infections. I suggest take vitamin C 500 mg once daily for a longer period of time to boost your immunity. You are also suggested to talk to your doctor.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Prabhash Verma, General & Family Physician
