What Does This Pelvic Ultrasound Report Mean?

Hi, i had an ultrasound and the report shows the uterus looks normal in size, A/V, homogeneous, non-gravid and with a normal endometrial cavity, no obvious uterine masses seen. RTOM of 3.66 * 3.17 cm was detected, Lt adnexa looks normal. Free fluid is also detected in the POD. Normal urinary bladder outline. Please explain to me what it means. Thank you.

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
The ultrasound report you have posted shows that uterus is normal in size. Uterine lining namely endometrium is normal. Non-gravid means that there is no pregnancy. Left side of uterus is normal.
However, there is an ovarian mass of about 4 cm size on the right side of uterus. Fluid in Pouch of Douglas (POD) indicates that the mass could be cystic (fluid collection) or may also be due to inflammation.
Hence you need to get examined clinically and investigate further about this mass so that it could be treated appropriately.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
