What Does This Leukocyte Esterase From Urinalysis Indicate?
I am a 68 year old female. I got my results on line, have never had any major problems of any kind. The urinalysis showed Leukocyte Esterase HI at 25. Everything else was negative, or in the normal range. Question? What does this indicate, and should I follow-up with my doctor? Thank you.

It could indicate an infection and yes please do follow up with your doctor. Go about a blood rest and a urine culture and sensitivity examination to confirm the infection and also guide your doctor to help provide you with the most effective medication.
