Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I worked at Ground zero and recently had a chest x ray after i got the flu and was coughing. I have had some issues with my lungs previously with various things , this x ray showed interval development of minimal left lung base airspace opacity without pneumothorax or pleural infusion. Follow up with plain imaging until complete resolution. What does this mean? thanks
There is a presence of an opacity or shadow on an X-ray chest. The opacity may be due to infection and consolidation. You have rightly advised to follow up till the opacity completely resolves.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
