What Does This Blood Test Result For Having MS Indicate?

My doctor thinks I may have an autoimmune disease. Blood tests showed Glucose high(103), Chloride low(96), Potassium low(3.4), sodium low(131), Homocysteine very high(22.3), Sedimentation Rate High(37), RDW high(15.9%), Platelets low(147), and Kappa FLC high(2.67). The doctors did nerve testing as well and the majority of my nerves did not respond or were low. They mentioned possible MS or CMT disease. I am hurting bad everywhere, however I just started taking Lyrica today and it HAS helped somewhat. Curious and bummed

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

From your description I am of the opinion that yes you might be suffering from MS. pregabalin will help. I would like to add Mecobalamin 1500 mcg per day for you as it will bring down homocysteine levels and repair your nerves somewhat.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Ashish Ranjan, General & Family Physician
