What Does This Blood Test Report Indicate?

Greetings. I m 29 years old. I underwent a blood test - Trisomy risk. I was at 17 weeks of pregnancy. Values that came to me: AFP - 3.43, uE3 - 1.38, hCG - 4,95. Risk of Trisomy 21 under test - 1: 683, the risk associated with age - 1: 763, the risk Trisomy 18 under tes - 1:10000 (low risk) and NDT- supposedly high risk. According to the ultrasound is alright. I m afraid to undergo amniocentesis. I have, according to these values really afraid of? In the family we have no defects, the entire pregnancy without any problem. Thank you.

cut off value of risk of trisomy 21 is 150 means that if your screening test results show a risk of between 1 in 2 to 1 in 150 that the baby has Down's syndrome, this is classified as a higher risk result. If the results show a risk of 1 in 151 or more, this is classified as a lower-risk result. The higher the second number gets, the lower the risk. you can be reassured by this. This does not mean your baby definitely does not have Down's syndrome, the likelihood that this will happen is very small.the diagnostic tests are amniocentesis or chorion villus sampling, but they carry risk of miscarriage.when in screeening risk is high, usually then diagnostic test is required.you need to have timely balanced diet and light exercise daily and keep your mind positive. all the best.
