What Does This Blood Sugar Level In A Elderly Woman Indicate?
I have just received blood test results and scheduled with my doctor next week, but would like to ask what is the normal sugar level for a 55 year old woman in good health other wise. When the nurse called she said my sugar was at 324. I found this so hard to believe because i have lost 35 lbs. since march and have been doing a mostly weight watchers diet. What does this mean?
Blood sugar levels usually not directly associated with body weight. as body weight increase blood sugar also increase. But sometimes without gaining weight also increase sugar in diabetes patient.
324 is high sugar level and should be verified. Appropriate treatment should be also started for the management of sugar.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
