General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi & Welcome.
I appreciate your concern for your beloved daughter.

Based on the report given, the Widal test is positive for typhoid fever.

There's a FOUR fold rise in O antigen and TWO fold rise in H antigen which is suggestive of typhoid fever. However a single positive widal test is not much significant clinically as the test is of limited specificity and has many interferences and false positive tests.

Definitive diagnosis of typhoid requires isolation of typhoid bacteria by a positive blood culture.

Hope this answers your query.
Wishing your daughter a speedy recovery.
A feed back is appreciated.
