What Does This Audiometry Result For Clogged Ears Indicate?

Hi, i dont have any cold but still i feel a sense of clogging on my right ear and intermittently i hear a hissing sound for 10-15 seconds and stops. I have this symptom for 3 months. I checked with a GP, he checked and feedback there is no waxing issue too. Recently we had an audiometry test and result shows as mild loss . I need advise as am more worried. I have an appointment with specialist but it is few weeks away.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Based on your description, it sounds like you have symptoms of possible hearing loss in your right ear. The audiometry test result indicating "mild loss" confirms this. Please reach out to an ear specialist as soon as possible to determine the cause of your symptoms and find the appropriate treatment. In the meantime, it is best to avoid exposing your ears to loud noises, which can potentially worsen your hearing loss.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Priyanka, General & Family Physician
