What Does This MRI Test Result For Spine Indicate?

I had a MRI recently which shows which to me looks like a mess, but it says I have severe broad-based desiccated disc bulge with slight flattening of anterior spinal cord, spinal canal narrowing with reduction of AP diameter to 9mm, moderate severe foraminal narrowing with nerve root contact and suspected impingement on the right and nerve root contact on the left of C5-C6. Would this be something to consider epidural injections for?

Hi,

Yes, the anesthetist should know about the condition of your vertebral column before he can introduce epidural injection.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Salah Saad Shoman, Internal Medicine Specialist
