What Does This MRI Report Specify?

My recient MRI states there is extensive T2 hyperintensity in the periventricular, deep, and subcortical white matter, nonspecific, but most likely representing sequelae of moderate chronic microvascular ischemia in a patient of this age. I am 68 years old and have lung cancer

hi
i have gone through your reports.
these are nonspecific ischemic changes in response to microvascular occlusion. As age increases there will be deposition of fat in blood vessels.these fat depositions when get detached causes block of small distal vessels causing death of brain cells causing small infarcts.but usually these infarcts didnot cause significant disability. dont worry by seeing these changes.Go for carotid doppler to check its status.
Thank you
with regards
