What Does This MRI Report Specify?

Husband had stroke in July and just had MRI - what does this mean Multiple focal areas of T2 hypersignal seen in periventricular deep white matter...no hydrocephalus...no evidence of any intracranial hemorrhage, mass or mass effect. does this mean the stroke area (hemorrhagic stroke) has already re-absorved into the body?

Hi,

Those multiple focal areas could be multiple areas of small strokes.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
