What Does This MRI Report Of The Lumbar Spine Indicate?
MRI Ls spin reveals early spondylotic changes with milld posterior disc bulge with associated facetopathy and flavum hypertrophy at l4.5 level indecting thecal sac, attenuating lateral recess and neural, causing mild impingement over bilateral traversing nerv roots.
It says that it is the MRI of your Lumbar spine. There are early onset spondylotic changes which means that there is inflammation of the lumbar vertebral bone. Also because of this there is inflammation and compression of the inter-vertebral disc which are present between the vertebrae. also the vertebral disc is bulging outwards and backwards forming a sac with thickening of the ligaments around it.
Finally, this is applying pressure on the adjacent nerves in the spinal column which is called impingement. Also these are collectively the signs of lumbar spondylitis with nerve root impingement. Exercise and medication are the main stay of treatment.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
