What Does This MRI Report Of Spine Mean?

Hello I had a nuerosurgeon preform a C5-6 C6-7 fusion a little over a month ago. I currently have more pain in both arms burning feeling. The MRI Report from last week states Prior cervical fusion. There is a residual right paracentral disc osteophyte with mass effect on the c6 nerve root. Does this mean he didn t get one of the Bone spurs?

Hello,

This means that probably he let a bone spur there. I believe that you may need a second intervention.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
