What Does This MRI Report Of Back Mean?

Hello, I am a 50yr old female with worsening back pain for 10 years. It feels now like I have a pinched nerve at the lowest level of my spine and running down my right leg. I had a MRI and here are some of the findings that they wrote that didn t specifically state normal Can you tell me what each of these mean? 1. L1-L2 disc is normal in signal and height. No disc bulge, central canal or foraminal narrowing. there is mild desiccation 2. L-2-L-3 states all of the same above and also says there is mild desiccation with trace circumferential disc buldge. 3. L-3-L-4 same as L-2-L-3 4. L-4-L-5 disc is normal in signal and height. no disc buldge, central canal or foraminal narrowing 5. L-5-S-1 There is moderate disc space narrowing, and desiccation. Anterior listhesis is accompanied by uncovering of the posterior aspect of the disc. No annular tear. The canal and nerual foramina are b ilatterally patent. There is no impingement. Bilateral pars defects are present. No edema or colledction is present bordering the pars defects. the impression at the end states: -Grade 1 anterior listhesis of L5 over S1 with bilateral pars defects. uncovering of the posterior aspect of the L5 disc with mild buldging without canal or neural foraminal narrowing. -The annnular tear previously seen at L5-S1 is no longer visualized thank you for your answers in advance!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello mam, i saw your report. It means that 5th lumbar vertebra has slightly displaced forward over the sacral 1st vertebra. It may have occured due to any heavy weight lifting or any kind of sudden jerk over your lower back. Are you consulting any orthopaedic surgeon for the same?
