What Does This MRI Report Indicate?

had an mri and shows l4&l5 with diffuse with posterior disc bulging and a super imposed broad based posterior disc protruson. an 11 mm extruded fragment extends posteriorly along l5 within the right paracentral region extending into the lateral recess where there is associated compression of he rightl5 nerve root. the thecal sac is narrowed to 7mm in ap dimension at the level of the disc. no exiting right nerve root impingement is present. He has lots of ain going down right leg and bottom of foot is numb.

Hello,

There is obvious disc bulge noted at multiple levels. If you symptomatic with pain and numbness, surgical correction may be required. Consult a spine surgeon and he will direct you accordingly.
