What Does This LFT Report Indicate?

Hi Doctor Recently this month March 2018, my LFT showed the following values Total Bilirubin: 0.8 Direct Bn: 0.3 Indirect Bn:0.5 SGOT: 120 SGPT: 46 AL:67 I usually drink 2 pegs per day and started drinking 2 Years back. I was not drinking since past 10 days before the test. My LFT enzymes last month were normal but my Bilirubin total was 1.2 with direct 0.7 and indirect 0.5. I have been doing intense weight training in the gym to build muscles since last 3 months. Is my issue due to alcohol or recent weight training and healthy dieting wherein I know I have been having muscle soreness (microtears in muscles).

Hello,

Stern's exercise can cause elevated enzymes.
It may also be elevated in alcoholic patients.
But it is difficult to say which is causative.

You may get done at GGT levels, in which elevated in alcoholic patients.
Avoid alcohol intake, avoid animal diet, take only plant based diet.
If symptoms not improved, please consult your gastroentrologist; he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
