What Does This INR Test Result Indicate While On Robaxacet?

I take 3.5 mg Warfarin daily to keep my INR between 2.5 and 3.I have had a very stiff neck for a couple of weeks and took 2 extra strength Robaxacet last night and 2 this morning.I just did a regular INR test with my CoaguChek tester and the result was 6.0.How serious is this and could the Robaxacet have caused the spike?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Robaxacet contains a mixture of acetaminophen and methocarbamol.

There is a risk of interaction between the acetaminophen and the warfarin. Acetaminophen can increase the effect of warfarin , therefore increasing the risk of bleeding.

The high INR means that there is a risk of bleeding. Your doctor may suggest decreasing or holding off the warfarin for a short while till the INR normalizes.

I hope this helps
