Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Can you mention his age, duration and exact location of pain? It is common for children to have mild-moderate pain around umbilicus- called functional abdominal pain, which need not be worried.

The report says that there is mild inflammation of small bowel and few small lymph nodes having mild enlargement(not significant).

The significance of bowel inflammation depends on clinical features. If no fever, vomiting, loos stools or tenderness over abdomen, this is likely non specific and need no treatment.

This needs further evaluation only if he has recurring fever, anorexia or weight loss. Your doctor will discuss with you.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam TK
