What Does This CT Scan Report For Chronic Back Pain Indicate?
I have had chronic back problems for a decade. I had surgery to address stenosis problem a couple of years ago. I have had several procedures of shots and nerve cauterization by pain neurologist. This past April I had fusion of L4-L5. Pain continues in lower back with left buttock more severe but pain also in hips. Latest CT, not read yet by orthopedist who did the fusion says, At L5-S1, degenerative disc space narrowing is seen with moderate right but severed left L5 foraminal steosis secondary to loss of disc space height and disc bulging. No signigicant central spinal stenosis. Any observations on such limited info?
You're having a problem in L5-S1 space. It is narrowed but usually not healthy. It may lead to nerve compression and radiculopathy. You may get treated with decompression with or without fusion by surgery.
Use cap. Pragaba M 75 once a day for five days. If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
