What Does The Spinal MRI Scan Report Indicate?

I recently had a complete spinal MRI. The report indicates marked disc narrowing at C4-C5 and C5-C6 with no associated epidural canal compromise. The cervical and thoracic cord is normal in caliber and signal. The conus is anatomic. There is a small left paracentral disc herniation at T7-T8 with slight indentation on the thoracic cord but no associated signal change. The epidural canal is capacious at this level. Cervical and thoracic neural foramina are widely patent bilaterally. There is moderately severe hypertrophic facet OA at L5-S1 bilaterally. The lumbar epidural canal is capacious with no spinal or lateral recess stenosis. Neural foramina are widely patent bilaterally. Can you please tell me what this means. I have been experiencing severe neck and back pain for some time now, am unable to walk for more than half an hour without the pain increasing to the point where I need to sit down and am also unable to sit for long periods of time without increasing pain in my back. In addition, over the course of the last year, I have been experiencing extreme numbness in my arms, particularly from my elbows down to my fingertips and in my legs. If I lay down, the sensation is not nearly as intense and sometimes even alleviated. The physician who ordered the MRI doesn t feel that the symptom of numbness is being caused by my spine but I am certain it is related because I m able to modify it when I change positions. Also, I ve been experiencing a sensation under my right arm between the arm pit and elbow which feels like electric zapps, it comes and goes, when it starts, the sensation lasts for maybe 10 seconds or so. Can you please give me your opinion on the results and the symptoms I am experiencing?
