Hello, I m a 21 year old newly wed and we are planning to have children soon. I went to my obgyn for a check up because I missed my period this month and hope I get it in June. I got all std testing including herpes 1&2 test and HIV test all is negative. I also had a pelvic ultrasound and a transabdominal ultrasound. The results were Uterus measures 6.5×2.5×4.0 cm. The endometrial stripe measures 6.4mm in thickness The right ovary measures 3.2×2.2×2.6cm. Follicular cysts are noted. Vascular flow is noted. The left ovary measures 3.0× noted. Vascular flow noted. No evidence of free fluid. Unremarkable pelvic ultrasound sn/dw Question...my doctor said I was fine nothing to worry about but she didn t mention to me what all of this means...please explain and I am African American and Hispanic is my chances higher of having other cyst that can turn cancerous? My mom and aunt had this issue. Both had partial hysterectomy. How can I prevent this?
