What Does The Neck MRI Report Indicate?

I just had an MRI on my neck because of degenerative disk disease. Impression; mild to moderate multilevel degenerative changes in the cervical spine, most prominent at C5-6 where there is moderate central canal stenosis and as well as moderate to severe right and moderate neural foraminal narrowing....C5-6 a disk osteophyte complex is causing moderate canal stenosis. Uncovertebral and facet hypertrophy contribute to moderate to severe right and moderate left neural foraminal narrowing. (same said about C4-5). I have had neck problem for years but have been able to live with it but now causing a lot of pain. I have already been through PT. My Doctor is trying to find me a Dr./surgon to talk to about my next move. I have always been told not to have surgery until i can t take the pain anymore ? What does the about mean in your opinion ?
