What Does The Following Vaginal Swab Test Report Suggest?
Hi good afternoon doctor, Am 28 yrs , married.Last week I did high vaginal swab culture .. The result shows, gram positive bacilli(++), gram negative bacilli(0), gram variable curved bacilli(0), gram positive cocci in pairs seen.. what does it mean?? I am worried a lot?? Anything serious ??

Why you undergone this test? Normally acidophilus bacilli may present in normal flora. these are acid producing organisms and gram positive bacilli. Other possibilities like gardinella vaginalis infection in which gram positive bacilli.
Treatment depends upon the symptoms and culture sensitivity. Sometimes it may be asymptomatic infection. Please consult your treating doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
