What Does The Following Urine Test Report Indicate?

My father is a kidney patient and going through dialysis. In his recent urine test shows protein: present(+++),phospate:nil,Glucose:nil,Ketone bodies:nil,Blood:trace, Pus cells:4-6/hpf,RBC: 1-2/hpf,Epithelial cells:occasional, and others nil. Also urine culture report shows no growth after 48 hrs of incubation

Hi,

I have undergone through your urine reports. All parameter is with in reference range except presence of protein. Pus cell upto 5 considered normal. Again there is no growth in culture exclude Urinary tract infection.

Following are cause of protein in urine:

Severe dehydration, diabetes, hypertension, ongoing kidney disease that damage glomerulus basement membrane, autoimmune involvement of kidney. So you can ask your urologist for above cause. Medicine like losartan reduce protein in urine. Drink plenty of water and do regular exercise.
