Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Does The Following Sperm Analysis Test Rest Indicate?
Hii my results of sperm tests are as follows : Colour: opaque grey Viscosity: normal Quantity : 1.0 ml pH : Alkaline Liquification Time : 25 mins. Motility : Active motile : 65 % Sluggish: 25 % Non motile : 10% Morphological Anomalies : Total Sperm count : 60 million / ml. Pus cells : 4-6 /hpf. RBC : nil hpf. Kindly provide your valuable suggestions on the above provided results.
Your spermatozoids count is within normal range. There are seen some pus cells that should not be there. This is an indication of infection.
You should do an uroculture to determine the type of infection which is causing it and which is antibiotics needed. I would treat you empirically for a week with Doxycycline daily.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Olgeta Xhufka , General & Family Physician
