What Does The Following Shoulder MRI Report Indicate?

I received a MRI on my right shoulder. It showed a torn Patel (spelling ?) which I was told is the cartilage around the socket. I was referred to Pain Management instead of an orthopedic doctor. Is this something that can heal on its own without surgery? Is pain management the right path?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

In most of the cases, the condition settles with conservative management. In severe cases, surgical correction is required.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
