What Does The Following Radiology Report Suggest?

Husband had lung cancer one year ago...had a thoracotomy and no further follow up other than scans...6 month scan was clean...one year scan just done...radiology report says new small modular infiltrate...too small for PET scanning to apply...wait 3-6 months and be rescanned...I don t like the recommendation...should we pursue biopsy or second opinion?

Hi,

It is better to go for biopsy as recurrence is common in carcinoma lung.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
