What Does The Following LFT Report Suggest?

Hi ... Am 39 year old( male)... i had thyroid and am in medication only for this... it s in pretty control... As a regular check up we did LFT and lipid profile... sgpt is showing 66 sgot is 33... All the remaining LFT readings are in Normal range... Triglycerides 250... Vldl is 53 ... All other readings in lipid profile normal... Please suggest what to do?? Is sgpt 66 normal?

Hello,

Your serum glutamic pyruvic transaminase (SGPT) value is slight high, not alarming rise. Your triglycerides level is high, so fatty liver should be ruled out here for elevated SGPT.

Investigate with ultrasound abdomen scan and provide it for giving more comment. If no specific cause found and if you are having the viral infection than also temporary SGPT can be raised. Consult a physician for examination.
