What Does The Following CT Scan Report Suggest?

I m a stage 4 colon cancer patient with metasis in the liver. the latestst ct scan shows enlatgement of spleen with spleenic varicies. i m scheduled for an upper endoscopy to screen for espohageal varicies for potential ligation. Will i need a spleenectomy ?

As of now splenectomy is not indicated, If you develop any rupture of splenic we will do surgery and proceed with splenectomy. Since you had esophageal varices you are always at a risk of upper GI bleed. Wishing you good health.
