Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Just got a report in the mail regarding a CT taken last week. It states thickening of the bladder wall, bilateral external iliac chain lympademopathy and mild retroperitoncal lymphadenopathey....metastatic disease must be considered. Complete removal of cancerous colon in 2010.
You have removed colon cancer in past but the grade of cancer, size of tumor, etc., have not been mentioned here.
Let me know your CT scan suggestive of spread of residual tumor cell into lymph node, hence metastatic lymph node is a possibility. Consult a nearby oncosurgeon for further work-up. Biopsy can be taken from enlarged lymph node and send it for histopathology examination to check for metastasis.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Parth Goswami
