Have stage 4 cancer spread to bones. My previous cat scans in 2016 showed lower left lung nodule 2mm to 6mm Now in April c.f. scan shoes nodule is obscured.but new patchy opacities Radiologist says it may be infection or inflammatory process.. I have not had any known infections over the last 6 months Have history of allergies and sinus infections. The patchy opacities were not shown before Is this a possible spreading to the lungs I am on chemo abzene. Thank you Pat

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Consult an oncologist. At this stage chemotherapy and radiotherapy are the only options. Follow the advice of oncologist, it can spread to any part or organ as metastasis. Keep a watch on them.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ashok Kumar Dash
