What Does The US Report With Interior Placenta And Lower Segment Indicate?

hi doctors i'm 21 weeks 3 days pregnant according to US.My report says as follow:

1)Single intrauterine pregnanacy with cephalic presentation and longitudinal lie of fetus.

2)Placenta is anterior and lower segment, about 1.7 cms away from OS.

please tell me about cephalic presentation and is this position of placenta leads to c-section?

Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Cephalic presentation means that the head of the fetus is facing your pelvis or birth canal, which is a completely normal condition.
Low lying placenta less than 2 cm from the internal os is placenta previa, and caesarean section is indicated for delivery in such cases.
