What Does The Beta HCG Test Report Indicate?

Hi Doctor, I had IVF treatment for the second time as My first attempt was failure. The Frozen embroys were transfered and asked to take a BETA hcg on day 17 after transfer. The first test had 5.65. The second teast was taken on 19th day which showed 30.95. Now they have asked to take a third test. Please suggest if this could be positive as the HCG is increasing but not at great pace.

It is good news the BHCG is increasing from one measurement to the other. Definitely you are pregnant as the BHCG is over 5.

Normal BHCG levels during certain weeks of pregnancy differ from one pregnancy to another but as a general rule, in a healthy pregnancy BHCG should increase with at least 60% in 2 days, so in your case, there is quite a satisfactory increase of BHCG in the second test.

I would recommend you to just follow the instructions of your doctor and do the regular checks and follow-ups. So far all looks well.
