What Does Synechia In Uterus During Pregnancy Mean?

I found out at 20 weeks through an utlrasound that I have a "band of tissue" referred to my doctor as a synechia in my uterus. I am now 30 weeks along and having another utlrasound on Wednesday to check it out. Can you tell me what they could find? They dont seem worried but I like to know what could happen.

I understand your concern.
Uterine synechae are fibrous tissue bands in uterine cavity. They are usually found incidentally while sonographic scanning.SOnographically they are represnted as fibrous band folds in between amniotic fluid.
Synechae in pregnancy usually do not affect fetal growth.That's why your doctors are not worried.
Rare effects of synechae on pregnancy are
- Abnormal fetal presentations ( breech, transverse) which need caesarian delivery.
- very rarely premature delivery may occure- which can be recognised & treated before hand.
* Please don't worry, follow doctor's instructions strictly, Have regular pregnancy check ups, have nutritious food /mild exercises & be positive.
