What Does Severe Pain In The Arms Indicate?

Hello, I have had a two level Mobi C artificial disc replacement in the c5 to c6 and c6 to c7 9 weeks ago. My pain is less but my shoulder is in extreme pain with full arm ache and seems to be getting worse. I went to PT due to my Orto DR s referral. Pt stated that they do not think I have a frozen shoulder like the Dr. thinks. Pt stated that my assisted motion is fine. But the pain I am in is too much and I do not want to take anymore opiates to live. My question is, do you think a EMG should be done to find if there is other nerve damage. in my cervical spine area?
