General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, there can be various issues of low levels of calcium in a new born as congenital disorders or other metabolic derangements, endocrine disturbances as well. The recommended dosage are as per the standard pediatrician guidelines and do follow the same for a period of 1-2 months before the repeat test is carried out for follow up results.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
