What Does 'ruptured Follicle' Indicate In TVS Scan?
Hi doctor, my wife made follicular test TVS scan today. It is day 13 of her period. LO shows "follicle 16x15 with irregular borders seen- may suggest ruptured follicle". my question is: what does this mean? is ovulation finished? is this size suitable to get pregnant? what are the suitable days to have intercourse for the purpose of pregnancy?
Your follicular study is absolutely normal. Ovulation has occurred and it is indicated by irregular borders. You should plan unprotected intercourse within 24-48 hours of ovulation for maximum chances of fertilization. After intercourse female should lay down in bed with folded hips and knees for 15 mins so that sperm can move inside the female genital tract easily.
