What Does Redness In Butt Crack Suggest?
Hello. Im a newlywed and my husband said to me the other night during intercourse that the line between my buttcheeks, or crack, is prominently red. It s always been red in color my whole life - never itchy, dry or inflamed, so it s never been a bother to me nor have I thought it abnormal. Until he brought it to my attention, I never noticed it on anyone else in porn or photos on the Internet either. However, I m noticing that not many women seem to have a prominent red line going down the full length of their crack - all seem to be the same color of their skin tone. Now I m of lighter complexion, of physical physique, not overweight, diet is normal and no real health issues. I m becoming a little more self conscious about this and my husband and I have really started to get passionate in the bedroom. I m kind of embarrassed to be in front of him during intercourse, Knowing he s staring at my red lined behind. Help? Is there anything I can do to get rid of or lessen the appearance?

I will keep a possibility of Intertrigo, which is inflammation of the body folds. Intertrigo usually presents as red inflammed skin, particularly the convexities of the body folds.
The inflammation is a result of rubbing of skin of the folds against each other. Sweating, moisture/humidity in the body folds makes the skin prone to it.
Symptoms may be entirely absent if it is a mild involvement.
Candidal infection may supervene at these sites following which there may increased symptoms like itching and burning.
I would suggest you to use a dusting powder, preferably an antifungal dusting powder, twice daily.
Dusting powder would keep the area dry and also be inhibitory to candidal superinfection.
