What Does Pulmonary Infiltrate In The Below X-ray Report Suggest?

I had an x ray done and it says: Findings: There is a density in the left upper lob suggesting masslike infiltrate with similar density in the right suprahilar ration. some patchy infiltrate suspected in the lower lung fields.. No pleural effusion is identified. Impression: Bilateral pulmonary infiltrates. Masslike density especially left upper lobe of some concern and follow-up until clear recommended. My question is: what is a pulmonary infiltrate?
