1.The above features in the CT suggest prominent
ventricular system - generally seen in case of
hydrocephalus,chronic obstructive and communicating obstructive.
2.This could be congenital cause or acquired cause due to obstructive cause.
3.Treatment depends on the cause and location of the obstruction. In some patients with temporary obstruction (such as with subarachnoid haemorrhage) temporary CSF diversion is sufficient (e.g. via an external ventricular drain (EVD)).
4.Similarly if the cause is mechanical, it may be possible to resect the mass (
colloid cyst) -
MRI will asses the possibilities of cysts.
5.So suggest further evaluation with MRI to evaluate the area of obstruction. Good luck.
