Hi, I’ve been experiencing pressure behind my nose on and off for about 2 months; I was diagnosed with sinus congestion and was given sinutab and brufen, it went away for about 3 weeks but came back and has been on and off for about 3 weeks now, yesterday I started feeling pressure around the parital lobe and it feels abit tender to touch - what could this be and are the two related?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Yes, a sinus infection can spread to the other sinuses of the body if not treated with proper antibiotics.
You can talk to your doctor to get a full course of antibiotics and kindly take complete treatment because if you do not take treatment, then the infection can spread even further.
Kindly get X-ray of Paranasal sinuses. Hope you get back to us with the reports.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. ARCHANA
