What Does Presence Of Yolk Sac After A Medical Abortion Mean?

I had an medical abortion but I didn t go back to see if my abortion was complete I still want my baby, I m hoping possibly she s /he s still there with no problem but I blead and I guess it was a normal pass or abortion. But I still felt pregnant after it wore off but when I went for an ultrasound they found a yolk sack and o fetus / baby. Is it possible that there still a baby inside of me ?

Hello,

The abortion may be incomplete despite the bleeding. This does not mean that the baby is OK, as the medication has caused death of the fetus. But the presence of the fetus inside you, means that you need D and C procedure to help clean your uterus and avoid a possible infection or bleeding.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
