What Does Pain Under The Rib Cage Indicate?

Hi. I am having pain in the upper ribs on both sides (hurts to take a full breath) and pain in my left shoulderblad and neck. It hurts more when I try to run but I can feel it all day . This has been going on for 4 days. Not sure if it could be trapped gas or gallbladder???

hello welcome to healthcaremagic.
the most fittting explaination is a muscle spasm.
i would advice to take diclofenac, or if severe a muscle relaxant like chlorzoxazone.

it can not be gall bladder, gall bladder is not that high in our body.

but to be on safe side, get following investigations done-
chest x ray.
ECG
ECHO
pulmonary function tests

i hope this helps you.
please feel free to revert back in case of any doubts/concerns.
hope for your good health.
thank you.
