What Does Pain On The Left Foot Indicate?

I woke up with a pain on the top of my left foot. I didn t twist it or anything. Just woke up with a pain. I take pressure off and it dosent hurt unless I push on one spot.I can barely walk on it after I have been sitting then it loosens up but there is still pain. No problems with this foot in the past. Didn t do anything that would cause the pain.

Hello,

Pain can be due to any reason, infection, injury, inflammation, hamper of circulation to the foot etc. We need a detailed history to know what could have happened to cause you this. Evaluate it yourself to know the cause.

If it is not severe you can always take some painkillers to reduce the pain and with time it will definitely get better. If there is swelling associated with it then you need to see a doctor and get an X-ray done to rule out any fracture.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Archana
