Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Dear patient
statins are known to cause muscle damage in few patients. That may lead to increase protein levels in blood which in turn goes to kidney for excretion and hence may affect your kidney. Chances are few but since your urine test showed blood this needs to be ruled out. I would advise visit to your physician for further examination and investigation like Ultrasound of KUB. meanwhile stop taking statin if it's possible.
